WEEK 1: Day 6 (8th March)
Today's SUNDAY!!!WEEEE!!!!
Woke up at 11plus and went out to the street market behind school again for our breakfast.

Or rather lunch.

Then went out together with the MBE students as well as the local students to the

AMUSEMENT PARK!!!!!

Took a bus ride there.
It's our first time taking a bus ride in Wuhan.
AND IT'S FREAKING CHEAP I TELL YOU!

2 yuan per ride.
AND NO MATTER HOW FAR ALSO 2 YUAN(around 50 cent SGD)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHEAP RIGHT?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Not like Singapore, one ride to ONE bustop cost 75 cent.

But however, the ride wasn't a pleasant one.
The bus was very squezzy, uncomfortable and warm.
And it lasted 45 minutes before we could really board down the bus for some fresh aircon air.

Was "AMUSED" when we got in the park.
CUZ WE SEE NOTHING!

But we had to walked inside the "forest" to see the amusement park lah. >.<

Our first ride...
Rollercoastal!!!!
I've never sat this kind of rollercoastal before.

Before the ride...

This amusement park is not like Singapore's Escape.
Over here, we have to pay for EACH RIDE.

Freak expensive lah this roller coastal.
25 yuan per ride.
AND IT ONLY GOES ONE ROUND!!!!

AND WAY WE GO OFF!!!!~~~~~~~

Sat with Kumar, cuz we scared the first row and the last row.

After the ride expression...

ok lah, act only lah...
BUT IT WAS FUN!
I already hoping for a better ride of rollercoaster in korea?genting?sydney?

THE GIRLS!
HAHA! No guys!

NEH NEH NI POO POO!!!! =pPp

THEIR CORN!!!!
*WARNING*
It taste like some rubber stuff and tastless.
DONT GET CONNED!

Another ride i took...

I don't know what's it's called but we named it THE WASHING MACHINE.

p.s. Can't see properly cuz their head too big already!

It's like you are locked inside this metal thing and it's kinda squezzy.
And it goes like a washing machine.
Not only the whole thing is turning here and there, it turns upside down with those metal things going up and down...

I shouted like i never shout before.

And i was flying about inside.
And almost fractured my neck.

Thus i wasn't aware i was actually crying...

*THROW MY BLOODY FACE*
*UNGLAM*

OMG, Mummy and Daddy's going to nag me about sitting this horrifield ride when they see this.

It's horrifying, but nice =)
10 yuan.
SUPER CHEAP!

It's worth it cuz you won't get to see and ride this WASHING MACHINE anywhere in other countries.
It's one in a lifetime =DDDDDDDD

MA YA TANG!!!!!
Good remedy for those who cried.

Then at 6 plus we left the amusement park and headed to the opposite street of shopping centres.

Two structures outside a mall.
Looks like they are made of chocolate right?
But they are not.
HA!

The shopping malls here looks like Singapore ones.
Finally we saw similar looks of Singapore.
And the inside looks like Takashimaya.

Initally went up to the top floor for Singapore Street Market.
Looks like food republic.

Flooded with many people so we headed for the steamboat instead.

38 yuan per person.
BUT!!!!!
Today's SAN BA JIE! (3 8 jie) or rather (Bitch Festival)
So girl's got 10 percent off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the end i paid only 34 yuan ^.^

The food wasn't as nice as Singapore's buffet.

Almost every table had PLATES of MEATS.
OMG, scary~

The locals really like meat alot.
They even loved DOG meat, CAT meat, RABBIT meat, etc.

I better keep my Tigger boy boy away from these people.
*HUMPH*

p.s. My Tigger boy boy is my cat =)

Last picture of the day.

WEEK 1: Day 5 (7th March)Font size

Woke up at 7am to prepare ourselves with total of 3 trips around Wuhan.
First desination is to
DONG HU (East lake).

As many have heard about
Qu Yuan, a famous general in China who have jump into a lake due to sadness because the emperor did not trust him but instead trusted a bad general.

SO THIS IS THE LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

After his death, locals who had respected him then started throwing dumplings (Ba Zhang) into the lake so as a believe that the fishes would not eat his body but the dumplings.

THUS STARTED DUAN WU JIE!!
Falls on the 5th day of May in the chinese calendar.

People then also started using boats with shape of dragons and beating of drums to scare off evil monsters in the lake to protect his body.

THUS FORMED DRAGON BOAT!!

Dragonboating is now a favourable sports in many countries like Singapore.

EAST LAKE!

The place is SUPER HUGE.
SEE the map.
It will kill your legs.

QU YUAN!!!!!!!!

This guy is moulding shapes of different animals.
COOOOOL....

Out of East Lake...

On the way to the museum...

Wuhan Musuem

Chu Dynasty

Own by husband of the First beauty of the 4 Beauties of China, Xi Shi, small sword.

All these treasures displayed in the musuem are dugged from the tombs of the emperors in China.

During their burial, all these treasures are instructed to be buried with them because they wanted no one to own their own treasures.
This is also that mostly everybody in the palace like their wife and concubines were ordered to die with them and so, mostly everything and them are buried together so that the emperors won't be lonely even when they die.

More pictures are shown below by other dynasties.

Zeng Dynasty

Usually emperors died in their 40s or 50s because of the utentils they used.Utensils like their cups, bowl are made of a kind of metal in the past that contain poisonous substances that harm their body and so they do not live long.Only those emperors who uses utensils made of porcelains will live longer.

Left the museum and headed for the street market.

On the way...
A guy who uses his monkeys to earn monkey.
PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW****
cuz the monkeys must have been through a tough life to really perform on the streets =(

XIAO CHI JIE (Street Market)

HaHAHAHHAHAH!!!

Didn't take alot of pictures cuz WE WERE SO INDULGED WITH THE FOOD THERE!!!!

THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. (But they are still oily)

Next destination is the famous Huang He Lou

This place is where Li Bai came and wanted to write a poem.
But then saw a poem written by someone and he felt that the poem is SO DAMN GOOD that he didn't want to write anymore.

SIX Huang He Lou from different dynasties.
(From top to bottom left to right)
Qin Chao, Song Chao
Yuan Chao, Ming Chao
Tang Chao, Present one

A guy crafting names on the seals...

FINALLY!!!!!!

Our whole 3 journeys ended at around 4plus in the afternoon and we headed back to school.
At around 6.30pm, we went dinner at the back street market of the school again and have a nice filling dinner of porridge and Gui Ling Gao =)

At the end of today, we all have learnt about the history of China including intrestingfacts of famous people like Qu Yuan and Li Bai, artefacts of the past dynasties.

*****

WEEK 1 : Day FOUR (6th March)

Had lessons at 12pm for our first Environmental Technology with Mr Chong.

THIS MEANS WE CAN SLEEP TILL LATE LATE!
HAHAHAH!!!!
Slept till 10am and prepare everything until we head out to the canteen for lunch before going for our lessons.

After lessons we head back to our dormitory and slack our time away till 6.30pm where we lsct gang went out for dinner. We walked quite a long distance to our destination and were so happy because it's another place where we haven been before.

The China students here do like walking long distances here and there for better food instead of their canteens.
Perhaps due to the oiliness of their food, walking can also be a form of exercise to them.
NO WONDER MOST OF THEM DON'T SEEM FAT LAH!
It's good for me too because i'm a lazy person who doesn't do any excerises and walking long distances can be a form of excerise for me.
WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Settled ourselves in a small cafe and had our nice dinner =)
AT LEAST FOR ONCE WE THINK THAT THEY SERVE A BETTER FOOD =)

OUR GROUP PHOTO!

LSCT!!! SAY CHEESE!!!!!

This steam plate is used to put the bao that we ate.
LOOK @.@ at the sides of it.

IT'S MOULDY!!
OMG!
And we actually could finish the whole lot of baos.

We finally then head back to end our day.
Cheers =)

*****

WEEK 1: Day THREE (5th March)

Woke up in the wee morning of around 8am to get ready for our first history lesson at 9am.
But we sort of got "conned" because there's a miscommunication between the teachers about their lesson time so we left the lecture hall and headed to the nearby shopping mall

AGAIN.

Shoe cleaner at the roadside.
We don't see this in Singapore already right?

Some volunteers outside the mall.

Bought some groceries AGAIN and ate MACDONALDS

AGAIN.

I'm bound to grow
FAT with my obsession of cheeseburger.
OH NO!

Then we headed for our REAL history lesson at 1pm taught by MISS xiaoling =)
As a local in china, she does speak fluent English.

After lessons, we headed back to the dormitory to rest and headed out again at 6.30pm with the local students to another MUCH BIGGER SHOPPING MALL for our dinner =)
(AT LAST! we are not going to the same old boring mall!)

Our dinner!

We then went to their arcade and play a whole lot of fun games =)

CAMWHORING outside school.

 *****

WEEK 1: Day TWO (4th March)

We met at around 11.30am to have our lunch.

And the food i ordered seems to be growing more and more as i ate. T.T

Amazingly, since yesterday night onwards,
we've been seeing many people playing badminton, table tennis and basketball outdoors at the field.
AND THEY WERE WEARING A TOP THAT LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF THIN CLOTH!
Perhaps they were used to the cold weather there and their passion for sports.
That's no wonder badminton and table tennis are especially well-liked in China and also produced many talented players to play for their country.

Then, we were brought around the school by the student union students.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS PIECE OF METAL COST A BOMB?!?!?!
WHOEVER STEALS IT CAN EARN BIG BUCKS LEH!!!

Everyday newspaper is put on here.
GOOD RIGHT?!?!
Can save money.

Each blk have it's own name like this one above.
Oh and their telephone booth.
Scary one, will ring by itself @.@

Their computer lab.

THE SCHOOL!

Some funny posters written by the students here.

New species of cabbage in the school.
Singapore should learn too.

After exploring the school, we headed outside to the shopping centre and supermarket.

While walking,we saw this,

THEIR MOPS! (ok lah, mop only right?)
But their's is DIFFERENT!
Instead of the normal material that we use, they used strands of cloth and tie them together.

The shopping mall.

Decided to rest at their Macdonalds.
I SWEAR the meal at the macdonalds here is the best food i ever eaten during the 2 days of my trip =XxX

We headed back to our domitory to put our stuff and headed out to the nearby street market for out dinner.

And we came here!

It's HALAL!
No wonder the bosses there don't look local.
We guess they are the people came from around the middle-east there.

LA MIANS!

After a nice dinner, we headed back to the school's lecture hall for some get-together session with the students there.

SEE ANOT?
LSCT got 3 talented singers singing!!!!!!!!!

*****

WEEK 1: Day ONE (3rd March)

Waking up in the early morning at 4am ( IT'S FOUR OKAYS! ) to get ready for the exciting moment. (ok i only slept like 2 hours?)

CHANGI AIRPORT!
Reaching here at 5 plus seeing changi airport ONCE AGAIN ( my last flight was when i'm 7 years old?)

Anticipating the ride on the plane and saying a goodbye to our family members and a friend of ours before we pray hard for our journey.

On the plane...

SEE?!? Singapore very nice right?
BYE SINGAPORE! WEEEEE !!!

A sea of clouds.
SO CHIO RIGHT?!?!?

NOW YOU KNOW!
China people regard us as ALIENS.
!@#$%^&*

GUANGZHOU!

haha their B1 is -1
Funny right?!?

Dine at this small restaurant at guangzhou airport whilst waiting for our next flight

I tell you the food here is SO DAMN OILY!!!!
AIYO! You could even see that THICK layer of oil above the sauce and soup.
Unlike in Singapore, the food is less salty and oily.
KEEP UP THE GOOD HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!

Check in for wuhan's flight.

WELCOME TO WUHAN!!!!

Upon reaching here at wuhan airport, we were welcome by friendly students from the WUST student unions and took a long bus ride of 2 hours to the school.

We had interaction with the China students in the bus and found out that they are trying very hard to speak to us in English rather in Chinese.

We asked: " Why don't want speak to us in Chinese? Easier for you."
They said: "We want to improve on our English =) "

It's good to hear that they are trying very hard to improve their English better and this teaches us a lesson that we should not be lazy in learning new things. To improve ourselves better, we should be like them willing to try our best in whatever we do =)

We then headed for dinner at a nearby resturant after putting out luagge and stuff at a dormitory and ready to fight the "cold war" of the weather.

OUR 9 DISHES!! (damn oily again, especially the ma la toufu. )

We were brought to a supermarket to buy some stuff needed in our domitory and then headed back to rest for a day.
